Mayfair’s Connaught Hotel gets five-star IAC treatment
IAC is supplying a bespoke noise attenuation solution for the M&E services within London’s Connaught Hotel in the heart of Mayfair. The five-star hotel has been the epitome of elegance since it was built in 1897 and is named after one of Queen Victoria’s sons. It is now undergoing a £multi-million refurbishment and extension programme and reopens at the end of the year.
Lead contractors, high-end interior refurbishment specialists the Chorus Group, are handling the entire refit. To support the fully upgraded air conditioning system, and on the recommendation of Michael Blair Associates architects and Cole Jarman acoustic consultants, IAC is supplying a custom-designed acoustic-louvred enclosure around the M&E services. The suite of chillers, AHUs and condensers is located on the roof.
Mike Jackson, IAC’s Sales Manager, said: “We are delighted to be working with Chorus on this prestigious project. It has been a challenge developing an effective solution given the physical space restrictions and with limited access.”
